How the scam works:
This is similar to the Guaranteed Employment scam. If you are a student looking for jobs online, you might come across advertisements from companies that do “job placement for students”.
Saying they provide intensive training teaching different tricks of the trade, including interview tips, they also claim to offer job placement at the end of the training.
Avoid these scammers at all costs. You will pay a few hundred dollars for training, but will receive nothing (as the scammers ask that the money is wired and then they never get back to you) or – if the company really exists – a “training” that is nothing more than "get-togethers", from which you will never learn anything.
How to avoid:
Remember, you are a student-- you are already in school and pay for it. Focus on that.
In the meantime, if you are really looking for a job and seek to make some money until you find the next ideal job, there a few other options for employment online. They are trustworthy, have a great online reputation, and you can register with them for free. There is a little bit about them:
