Pacquiao Show Text Message

How the scam works:

Multiple world champion boxer Manny Pacquiao, has a TV game show called “Manny, many prizes”. The show is very popular and scammers didn’t waste a second in trying to get a slice of its success.

Due to the object of the game – giving away prizes – it was reported that criminals send mass text messages, telling the recipients that they won certain prizes. “Your cell phone number was drawn via electronic raffle and you have won P780,000 from our game show ‘Manny, many prizes’”.

You are required to call a phone number to redeem your prize. If you do that, the “operator” will ask you for your personal information “to confirm your identity” and then for your bank account details, so they deposit the money to you.

How to avoid:

Manny Pacquiao and his team have denied any cash giveaways through text messaging, so don’t fall for it. Always do your research when it comes to prizes or easy making money. If you are really looking for a job and seek to make some money online until you hit the jackpot, use trustworthy companies such as GlobalTestMarket which offers you money for legitimate surveys online.
